1.  Twisted pair:-is cable is one of the most commonly used communication media it consist of a copper wires.these wire are covered by insulating materials.the wires are twister  of around each other twisting of wire protect them from interface by external electromagnet is wave from.
2. coaxial cable:-is also called coax.it consists of a copper wire which is called inner conductor usually the inner conductor is surrounded by three layers

1. fiber optic cable:-is very fast communication media.it consists of hundreds or thousands of thin strands of glass or plastic.each stands is called optical fiber.
